The Create Breaks
#1:
Location: First Parish Church

Description: What makes you special? What makes you stand out? What is important to you? Enjoy a relaxing time of painting during this Create Break where self-expression and community come together as one.

Description: Make your mark on our city by engaging in this red white and blue Create Break alongside some of our own Taunton City Firefighters who serve to keep us safe.

Description: Channel the true beauty of nature and design your own creative critter during this Create Break. After all, what’s springtime without a few butterflies dancing around in the wind?
The Creative Walk begins at First Parish Church!First Parish Church
76 Church Green Taunton, MA 02780 Free public parking can be found behind the police station. Metered parking is also free on weekends. Participants are asked NOT to park at the Old Colony History Museum. Bathrooms are available at the police station. |
The Route
The fun begins at the First parish Church lawn on Church Green with Create Break #1, travels from Dean Street to Union Street, turns onto Fruit Street, then onto Trescott Street where participants will head to the Baron Lofts parking lot for Create Break #2 and a snack & water break. From there, the walk turns onto Main street, then onto School Street. At the School Street Fire Station, walkers will stop at Create Break #3. A quick left onto Leonard Street, then onto Broadway heading toward the Taunton Green, walkers will then turn right to head to the Superior Courthouse lawn for Create Break #4 and a snack & water break. Upon completing Create Break #4, participants will circumvent the Green by walking around the Green passing the Post Office, El Mariachi restaurant, and finally crossing the street near Weir Street & the Sealey lot to enter the Taunton Green and the Taunton Creates Arts & Culture Festival! At the Festival, there will be a special area with refreshments for participants as well as a display area for all of the finished products created on the walk.
**Walkers will be required to complete a liability waiver form on walk day prior to beginning the walk. Walkers will receive a route map along with t-shirts the day of the event.
